All skin types — flagship formula for full-body services

Three things make Malva different from every other hard wax in the line:

- Maximum elasticity. We engineered Malva to spread thinner and pull longer than anything else we make. The polymer chemistry holds the wax in a flexible state on the skin instead of going brittle, which is why a single strip can cover what would take three of another wax. Less product per service. Less time per service. Less hand fatigue at the end of the day.

- Vegan formulation. Malva is the only Starpil hard wax made without beeswax. The base is built on hydrogenated polycyclopentadiene and ethylene/VA copolymer, with paraffinum liquidum for slip and skin feel. The result: a wax that performs at the highest level without any animal-derived ingredients — important for clients who screen for that and a real differentiator in pro-level retail conversations.

- Botanical and titanium-dioxide active layer. Malva (mallow) extract has a documented role in cosmetic formulation as a soothing botanical, and titanium dioxide adds gentle skin-soothing properties plus the grip needed to capture fine and stubborn hairs other waxes leave behind. Combined, they make Malva feel different on the skin — calmer application, less reactivity, more comfortable removal.

The 70–75°C working temperature and rosin-free profile follow Starpil's full-line standard. Where Malva separates is the formulation tier above it: more flexibility, vegan baseline, premium feel from the first scoop.

- Most flexible hard wax on the market — single-strip pulls on legs, backs, and full-body services
- Only vegan formula in the Starpil line — no beeswax, no animal-derived ingredients
- Premium European formulation with malva extract and titanium dioxide
- Rosin-free — safe for clients who react to traditional hard waxes
- Lower wax usage per service thanks to the thin-spread elasticity
- Available in 4 sizes — from 1lb sample to 22lb pro bulk (30lb coming soon)

Vegan. Rosin-free. Dermatologist-tested. Cruelty-free. Made in Spain.

HOW TO USE

Follow these simple steps to prep, apply, and remove your wax for smooth, long-lasting results every time.

Start Strong

Fill up your warmer halfway and let your wax melt completely. Continue to add wax and consistently stir until proper consistency is reached. Set your warmer to the formula’s suggested working temperature. Recommended Wax Temp: 70–75°C |

You’re looking for a honey-like texture, if you notice it’s runny or stringy, the wax is too hot.

Prep Your Skin

Prep your skin. The pre-wax gel will clean the skin, as well as hydrate it. Once applied, remove any excess product with a clean, dry cotton round. Powder is not used in the Starpil method.

Application

Spread the wax evenly in the direction of hair growth, pressing firmly so it fully adheres. At the end of your strip, leave a slightly thicker edge — like a small lip or tab — that you can easily grab onto for removal.

Removal

Once the wax has set, hold the skin taut and use the lip/tab to lift the edge. Pull the strip back quickly and firmly, keeping it close and parallel to the skin (not upward) for the smoothest results.

Post Wax Care

Apply Starpil's post-wax lotion followed by our post-wax oil. The lotion will hydrate and calm the skin, while the oil locks in that moisturizer and removes any wax residue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because the formula costs more to make. Malva uses a vegan base (no beeswax), premium polymer chemistry for the maximum-flexibility profile, and added botanical and active ingredients (malva extract, titanium dioxide) that the rest of the line doesn't carry. It's our flagship — engineered without compromise. If you're early in your career or you do high-volume basic services, Coral or Blue will serve you well. If you're at the top of your game and want the best wax we make, Malva is it.

Yes — and it's the only vegan hard wax in the Starpil line. Coral, Pink, Blue, and StarSoft all use beeswax (Cera Alba) in their formulations, which makes them non-vegan. Malva is built on a fully synthetic and plant-derived base — no beeswax, no animal ingredients. If you have clients who screen for vegan products, or if you're building a clean-beauty service menu, Malva is the only Starpil formula that fits.

Both are flexible, both are rosin-free, both work for full-body. The difference is the tier. Blue is our "speed wax for pros" — fast, efficient, reliable, priced for daily-driver use. Malva is our flagship — engineered for maximum flexibility, vegan, with a premium feel from the first scoop. Many pros run Blue as their high-volume daily wax and add Malva for premium services, sensitive clients, or vegan clients. Some upgrade entirely to Malva once they've used it. Either way, Malva sits one tier above Blue — not a replacement, an upgrade.

Melt on max until fully liquid, then drop your warmer to 70–75°C for application. The wax should look like thick honey when ready. If it's runny or stringy off the spatula, it's too hot — let it cool 30 seconds. The flexibility profile means Malva is more forgiving than most waxes if you're slightly off temp, but staying in the 70–75°C window is where the formula performs best.
