Type
Hard Wax Beads (Rosin-Free)
Best for
Hypoallergenic, full body, all skin types

Blue Film is built on Starpil's pioneering Microbead Technology — small uniform beads that melt fast and evenly, eliminating the cold spots that cause uneven application in less-engineered waxes. Combined with the polymer-enhanced formula, the wax stays elastic on the skin instead of brittle, which is what allows the long, single-strip pulls Blue is known for.

The 70–75°C working temperature hits the sweet spot for speed waxing. Cool enough to apply quickly without overheating sensitive areas, hot enough to grip coarse hair on the first pull. The rosin-free reformulation removes one of the most common cosmetic allergens in traditional hard wax without sacrificing the flexibility or pull strength that made Blue a salon staple.

The result: a hard wax engineered for high-volume professionals — faster services, less wax per client, and a hypoallergenic profile that lets you serve clients who couldn't tolerate the original Blue formula.

- Ultra-flexible, elastic pull — covers large areas in one strip without breaking
- Rosin-free reformulation — safe for clients who react to traditional hard waxes
- Cools and sets fast — built for high-volume, high-margin service days
- Microbead Technology melts evenly — no cold spots, no warmer babysitting
- Low wax usage per service — better margins on every client
- Available in 6 sizes — from 1lb sample to 30lb pro bulk

HOW TO USE

Follow these simple steps to prep, apply, and remove your wax for smooth, long-lasting results every time.

Start Strong

Fill up your warmer halfway and let your wax melt completely. Continue to add wax and consistently stir until the proper consistency is reached. Set your warmer to the formula’s suggested working temperature. Recommended Wax Temp: 70–75°C |

You’re looking for a honey-like texture, if you notice it’s runny or stringy, the wax is too hot.

Prep Your Skin

Prep your skin. The pre-wax gel will clean the skin, as well as hydrate it. Once applied, remove any excess product with a clean, dry cotton round. Powder is not used in the Starpil method.

Application

Spread the wax evenly in the direction of hair growth, pressing firmly so it fully adheres. At the end of your strip, leave a slightly thicker edge — like a small lip or tab — that you can easily grab onto for removal.

Removal

Once the wax has set, hold the skin taut and use the lip/tab to lift the edge. Pull the strip back quickly and firmly, keeping it close and parallel to the skin (not upward) for the smoothest results.

Post Wax Care

Apply Starpil's post-wax lotion followed by our post-wax oil. The lotion will hydrate and calm the skin, while the oil locks in that moisturizer and removes any wax residue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blue is best in the hands of someone who has waxed before. It sets fast — which is great for speed but harder if you're still learning. If you're new to hard wax, start with Coral or Starsoft (slower set, more forgiving), then graduate to Blue once you have your rhythm. Most pros add Blue as their second wax once they're confident on basics.

The new Blue is rosin-free. Rosin (pine resin) is one of the most common cosmetic allergens in traditional hard wax — it's what triggers redness, bumps, and reactivity in some clients. Removing it means Blue is now safe for hypoallergenic and reactive skin without losing the flexibility, speed, or pull strength that made it a salon staple. Same wax pros loved. Cleaner ingredient list.

Almost always a temperature issue. If Blue is too cold, it cracks. If it's too hot, it stays sticky and won't pull clean. Aim for 70–75°C and a thick honey consistency on your test strip. If it strings off the spatula, it's too hot — let it cool 30 seconds. If it cracks immediately, your warmer dropped temp — give it another 60 seconds to recover.

Yes, but most pros prefer Coral or Starsoft for Brazilians because they're more forgiving on sensitive skin. Blue shines on legs, backs, arms, and underarms where you need speed and a long, clean pull. If you're doing high-volume Brazilians, the smart move is carrying both Blue (for body) and Coral or Starsoft (for the bikini area).
