Starpil saw its start in 1984 when young entrepreneur Jesús Bonan Solé founded its parent company Maystar. Solé began manufacturing depilatory waxes and cosmetic products in his home’s garage to provide professional beauty salons with innovative, high-quality products.
Just 7 years after its founding, Solé invented and patented the revolutionary roll-on waxing system used worldwide today. Taking the industry by storm and changed the waxing market on a worldwide scale, which led to the expansion and internationalization of Starpil. Today, our company operates in 65 countries.
Starpil Wax USA came about in 2007 when entrepreneur Saul Ortiz partnered with the company to found the United States branch. Before becoming the CEO, Ortiz worked for various companies, where he learned about import and export trade.
Saul’s embrace of innovative marketing strategies and creating next-level waxing products has allowed Starpil Wax USA to become the most-used waxing brand by professionals nationwide.
